<p>I got an F on my transcript for a P/F class.
It doesnt affect my gpa, but what's the potential impact? I am looking at the top jobs that typically require 3.5 gpa (CISCO, Intel, AMD, IBM)? Will it be frown upon? How much worse is it compared to a W?</p>
<p>it is one of those classes i thought i dropped but i actually didnt and never showed up for any classes, no homework turned in, no exam taken</p>
<p>If you graduate with a 3.7 GPA, nobody is going to place too much emphasis on the F. You may be asked to explain it and your explanation should staisfy most inquiring minds.</p>
<p>I got a job with one of those companies you have on there, and I had an F on my transcript, along with a few C’s. And my GPA was no where near 3.7, not even 3.5. Don’t worry about it, just move on.</p>
