An uncommon situation, to say the least...

To preface this, I was admitted to UC Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, and Davis. I've had two calls with a Santa Cruz area code come in in the past two weeks, and I ignored them. So, tonight, I was drunk at a party at about 7:30 when I see another come in. Of course I decide to answer it. It was a student from UC Santa Cruz calling. I forget the topic of discussion, but we went over what I wanted to major in, and she could tell I was rushed, and asked if there was a better time to call. I said I had about five minutes to talk. At this point, I'm acting like a cocky prick, but still making her laugh, as if she were my peer. As I'm talking about UC Santa Cruz, I keep saying UC Santa Barbara instead. Finally, at the end of the conversation, she says "we'd love to see you at UC Santa Cruz" and I say "I'd love to be at UC Santa BARBARA, too." I correct myself and say "Santa Cruz," and she says "it looks like you've made up your mind already." I just said no, and that I would love to attend UC Santa CRUZ, and that's where the conversation ended.

Could this have any effect on scholarships, admission fine points, etc.?

Lol (10 char)

Thanks for your input.

Don’t worry about this. That poor student was working her way through a long list of people to call on a minimum wage salary, or maybe just on donuts offered by the admissions office. You gave her something to laugh about with the rest of the Friday evening shift.

That’s exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you, happymomof1.

Yeah, if it was just a student calling you I wouldn’t worry at all.

Perfect. My mind is now at ease. Thanks again for the replies.
