!!an urgent question regarding late sat registration!!!

Hi,

I received my scores today and decided to take the SATs again at the last minute (subject)
However, when I went on collegeboard to sign up for test locations, none of the schools within my reach were available. The only schools that still have room are like 3~4 hours away from my house.

Has anyone ever gone through a similar problem? If I call collegeboard and ask them if they have room for the specific subject tests I'm taking (since that particular subject test room may not have as many students) would they let me? or will I have to drive 4 hours down just to take a subject test...?

Thanks for the replies.

in my experience, there arent really rooms for one specific test…rather all the sat ii kids are lumped together and given a master booklet for all the tests administered that day…i hear that a majority of standby test takers get in though, at least in my region, so maybe you can try that…

stanby as in? walk-ins?

I think that is what I will do…

Walk-in is literally just that right? I don’t need to do any pre-registration or anything for walk-ins? i just literally walk in on the day of the test? should I bring a check? credit card?
