And another long wait begins....

i hope we're all happy in 8-10 days!

I'll drink to that slipstream!

Of course, due to the lack of anything at all to drink in my house, I guess it will be water.

oh yay, look at that, I'm a full-fledged member now.

I hope that in my 300+ posts, I've helped some people out.

so if the letters are being mailed out the 24th and the 25th is good friday (i think) does that mean the post office is closed that day?? --- and if thats the case we wont get our decisions until the following week ugh

The post offices aren't closed on Good Friday.

It's my understanding from the info provided here that the Honors Scholarship notification letters will be sent out the 24th. Admission/rejection letters will be sent out later, I guess? Like the week after that, I suppose?

I think that being Honors Scholars, unless you lied in your interview or something and they found out, you already know what's in the admission letter, the HS notification is the one most of us are really waiting for.

My school thought the scholarship finalist notification letter was good enough and used it as proof of my admission to W&L :p. That was my first college acceptance, so to say, so I was cool with that.

Although, during the time I was on campus earlier this month, I went around thinking that the worst case scenario would be that they see my quirkiness/craziness/short attention span and decide not only to reject me as an honors scholarship person but also revoke my admission. Hopefully that didn't happen ;).

Actually, one of the questions asked of me by the faculty interviewers (I won't reveal what it is or who asked it) was something many people would lie to.

Of course, I told the truth but had I lied and they found out, a very real possiblity, I would not be surprised if my admission was rescinded.

LOL, I think it's pretty safe to tell us what it was considering it's two weeks after the competition, and anyone reading this board for next year's scholarship competition is waaaaaaayyyyyyy more put together and obssessive compulsive than any of us are.

~*~

Dima - Now you've got me all curious about what they asked! Can you at least PM me the question??? Pretty please with sugar on top?

PS - 4 days until they're mailed! hyperventilates

isn't anyone else excited and freakishly nervous???

I'm excited that slipstream is only one post away from 1000.

Drumroll please! (Make it on this board ;) )

I have too much other stuff going on in my life to worry too much, which is good.

2 days!!!

1000th post!!!

Senior Member!!!

Yay!

I've had other stuff on my mind...like my midterms that are today and tomorrow. Last set of grades that count toward GPAs!

Really? Not fair, everything I do up until mid-June counts towards GPA's.

I have about a month left after spring break (which starts tomorrow at 11 AM) of my classes, and so then I'll be IB testing (fun times) for the first two weeks of May and then totally done, free of the IB cult! Ha!

I have a month UNTIL my Spring Break which will include cramming for AP's which are at the end of May, after which things calm down a little but I still have to study and have all my finals at the beginning of June with the exception of calculus which is in mid-June right before graduation.

question...being that I feel somewhat optimistic lol...does W&L hold anything on campus for admitted students in april?

April 19th, though Morgan would know more about it than I would, he's going down there.

lol, wow-- major amount of activity in two days... I fell in rehearsal on Monday and broke my leg, so I am in the process of moving home and have been out for a couple days. I guess it looks like they sent the rejections out first. I know the GWHS letters haven't gone out yet because I called to change my address from my apartment to my house where I am now. Here's hoping we all get great news. Have fun on spring break, Emilia, and everyone else who has it. It was last week here in Texas, not that that actually makes a difference for me, lol. Anyone going back to W&L before next fall?

~*~

Oh my God Elissa, that sucks! Hope you get better soon! Like Dima said, there is an accepted students day on April 19 (a Tuesday). It would be awesome if you could make it up with your broken leg and all! I'm gonna stay Tues-Sun and try to be as little of a pain in the ass as I can :-P.
