My MIL came over for dinner tonight and one of the first things she asked was if we’ve seen the Old Navy commercial. She was so mad because she went there expecting to find Bama gear. Alas, just UH gear. If you’re a Bama fan it makes perfect sense that every store would carry our stuff. After all, we must headline the commercial for a reason… Roll Tide Roll!

As you can see, the Alabama gear comes first, and it’s all on sale. The tees are now only $14.99, and I can personally attest that they are well made. :D

The Aubs are already protesting it. they have a facebook page boycotting all Old Navy stores. It is quite sad. If you have a chance search for it

To tell the truth, I don’t blame the Auburn fans for being upset. I would be, too, if I were they. I think the first cardinal rule of marketing should be: Don’t p*ss off customers (or potential customers). Old Navy could have promoted Bama gear without dissing Auburn. It’s one thing for a marketer to diss a competitor. It’s another thing for a marketer to diss potential customers. Baaaaaaad move, IMHO.

Whoever is Old Navy’s new “Superfan Nation” marketing guru is an imbecil. Agree with LadyDi’s comments. Looks like Old Navy needs some spell checkers, too, with their “Lets Go USC” T-shirt.
