i didn’t get in='(

I’m sorry to hear that dani. I know it’s pretty crushing now, but just remember that there are lots of amazing colleges out there, and you will be accepted to the one you are meant to go to. If it wasn’t Smith, well, it wasn’t meant to be. But there are exciting adventures waiting just around the corner in the spring. Hang in there.

After three years of being in love with Smith I’m in as a spring transfer!

thank you SmithieandProud.

Congrats guys! my friend was accepted as well.

Well done beargarden! I hope it lives up to expectations.

Lili92 and Beargarden, I am delighted for you. I’m sure you will take many of the opportunities Smith offers. My first year daughter is very, very happy at Smith; she’s made lots of friends, loves the nurturing and challenges from her professors, cherishes her STRIDE research in the Sophia Smith Archives, takes reasonable advantage of the various activities and enjoys the accessibility and stimulation of Northampton.

While you know where you’ll be next year, now you will have to wait some more! With next year determined, you can concentrate on making your senior year special for yourselves. And of course, keep your grades up! Congratulations!

I’m soooo happy to hear your daughter likes Smith! Maybe I will meet her next year

Lili, I think she’d like to be a HONS (Head of New Students) next year as she has appreciated them so much this year, so if you’re in Baldwin, you will!

Littledanibaby, I’m so sorry. I remember last year when my daughter was truly devastated when she first heard she didn’t get into her top two choices, but she was able to move on. Smith offered her a much better financial arrangement than another college which she had her heart set on, so she said no to the other school and yes to Smith, and now she LOVES Smith. This college application process has its twists and turns and somehow you have to find the resiliency within you. You may not feel like it right now, but you will find a school that is just right for you, that will challenge your intellect, nurture your interests and provide a lively environment for you. And you will flourish there. Good luck in your search!

beargarden, you’re officially my idol.

oh, and congrats!! ;)
