for those in SBC or VC, did you guys feel the earthquake?

Didn’t feel it in SBC…and I’m in southern SBC too.

Checked the earthquake thing, it was a magnitude 5 o.o

5? I thought it was 4.2?
haha oh well. like I said…I didn’t even feel it.

Wow this fire is really spreading! All over the news! How is it affecting UCSB right now? I heard there are lots of evacuees over there

^like i said, i think it is highly unlikely that the fire gets past the 101.

ucsb is on the tip of the ocean, and is quite far from the mountain and valley terrain.

i got friends at ucsb and they can obviously see, smell, and feel the ashes flying around on campus however.

we got the ashes on the ground this morning which at first glance really looked like snow. the ashes kept getting into my eyes and so i had to put sunglasses on. and there were people who covered their mouths and noses with bandannas while biking on campus. my friend got an itchy throat because she was sleeping with her mouth open -_-"

FIRE UPDATE

The weather is now in favor of the firefighters…it’s cooler, foggy, and a little misty.

30% containment.

Looking much better now.

^weo! that is wonderful

Yeah! I wonder if I’ll have school Monday…

I have a 4 day weekend and it made me super lazy…haven’t done any work…ugh.

^ your school hasn’t burned down? I thought it was right next to it. I hope not I am just curious!

I don’t think so…but I haven’t been in that area since Wednesday. I think the fire stayed up in the hills for the most part…which is good because it didn’t come down into the heavily populated area. =)

there were a lot of people in the dining commons this morning. i figured out that they were evacuees and volunteers. i saw some police officers in their uniforms with trays in their hands standing in line with the students. that was an adorable thing to see xD.
