Yeah you guys are right about the automatic birth. I think the big ten title is ours for the taking!

Northwestern was terrible today--lots of uncharacteristic miscommunication between the receivers and the QB and receivers dropping balls that were fairly catchable. Northwestern isn't USC and can't expect to win without playing its A game. Anyway, congratulations!

Nirvana, Michigan does not control its destiny for a BCS berth. Three things must happen for Michigan to get an Orange, Fiesta or Sugar Bowl invite:

1) We must win out.

2) Wisconsin and PSU must each lose one more game. They play each other, so the winner of that game needs to lose another game.

3) Assuming the two above materialize, of all the 6-2 teams, Michigan must make the best business case for the invitation. Given Michigan's incredible marketability and popularity, and also given the fact that Michigan fans travel well, I would say there is a good business case for chosing Michigan over other 6-2 Big 10 teams.

But before worrying about this stuff, let us worry about winning at Indiana (not a given since we are playing at Indiana, we will be coming off a bye week and we could look part Indiana to our showdown with OSU) and of course, beating OSU at home. The rest is not within our team's control.
