<p>I got my reject letter today! Yeah!</p>

<p>Yeah, I got accepted to Taft, L’ville, Peddie, and Middlesex.</p>
<p>But man, I was so bummed about my SPS wait list and Andover rejection.</p>

<p>The competition is just stellar.</p>
<p>It really is like applying to Harvard.</p>
<p>Oh my god today was the best day of my life! I found out over the weekend that I got waitlisted at sps and groton and accepted to hotchkiss, Woodberry, and episcopal. So I assumed that I didn’t get into Andover and today my mom came and picked me up from school and in the car were two acceptance letters from Andover and Deerfield. It was AWESOME!</p>
<p>So I was waitlisted, a little disappointing, but not much since I was accepted by Exeter, and that’s where I’ve wanted to go all along.</p>
<p>D got a denial letter from Andover via snail mail today. It was postmarked March 9. We live quite some distance away so it arrived here the 12th. Luckily she was accepted at her first choice school and received enough financial aid to make it happen.</p>
<p>Aussiee, there is more to it than stats, and yes it is a quite stellar applicant pool. The posting of stats, and self-evaluations of essays, recommendations, etc. tells just a part of the story. How did the interview go? What did the recommendations really say? What type of slots was the school looking to fill? And on and on.</p>
<p>I am all in favor of students exploring the huge variety of schools out there and hold back on the ACRONYM mania.</p>
<p>Just got my Andover waitlist letter out of the mail - it was kind of sad to read it! However, puling out my two huge envelopes from Choate and Hotchkiss after took away from that grief. ;)</p>
<p>I got a rejection letter in the mail today. Not to disappointed though…things are looking up for me.</p>
