I just got wait listed on my top 3 choices.
I got into a bunch of other new england boarding schools.
What are my chances of getting in?
What is the top school of the 3?
And is St.Pauls in the tier that Andover is?

I’m no expert, but here’s what I’ve learned from several people who know much more than I do:

Think about where you would LOVE to go to school. Where would you immediately choose to attend if you got into all of your schools. Once you know your very top choice, consider e-mailing someone at that school, telling them why you would love to attend. It never hurts to let the school know how much you like them!

I know several people who were taken off various wait lists. It ISN’T impossible, contrary to what some people seem to believe!

St. Paul’s is part of a very selective, dare I say “exclusive,” tier of boarding schools known by the acronym HADES. This stands for Hotchkiss, Andover, Deerfield, Exeter, and St. Paul’s. Obviously there are many other quality schools, (another name used is GLADCHEMMS, which also recognizes Choate, Groton, and Middlesex, among others) but I would say that St. Paul’s is definitely a first-rate institution.

Hope this helped!

thanks cassat
i will take that to mind

what year did you get in for

Class of 2014, entering as a new sophomore.

Saint Paul’s was ranked as a top 20 school by Forbes along with PEA, PA and Groton. If you were accepted to SPS you are lucky. Go to revisit day and allow yourself to fall in love with it!
