Andover Dorms/Clusters

What are the best 9th grade boys Dorm's at andover?? And is it better to have a larger or smaller dorm???

From what I’ve heard, liking a large or small dorm is all personal opinion. I’ve heard people say that it’s good to have a large dorm in your first year(s), because you get to meet alot of new people very quickly. When you are older, they say it’s nice to have a smaller dorm, because you can live quietly with your best friends that you have already made. Doing this is called (sorry if I use the word in the wrong context) a “stack”. Basically, when you are an upperclassman, you and about 6-7 of your friends can request to live in a small house that was converted to a dorm. I’m pretty sure there further away from the main area of campus, but I’ve heard there really nice. You should ask TomTheCat, he will have more information.

EDIT:
You may already know this, but you can’t really choose when you are coming in as a junior. All the upperclassmen take the best dorm rooms/dorms (like 3-room doubles).

EDIT (2):
I HIGHLY suggest that you read through the ENTIRE thread:

I do remember asking a question about dorms on the thread above and TomTheCat did (and always does) an amazing job of answering all of my questions. Good luck at Andover!

Thank you so much! really helped :D
