I'm filling out the Andover housing form and was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about each of the clusters (personality, quality of rooms, etc.).

For male or female?

My d’s in Nathan Hale (Pine Knoll Cluster). NH is one of the bigger dorms. She has a 3 room double, which she likes a lot. She and her roommate each have their own bedroom and share a common study room. It’s roomy. It’s right next to the Sanctuary. I don’t know too much about the personality of it, though. I imagine it’s fairly social as there are a lot of girls and the guys like to hang out in their common room.

What!!! Smurfs are already filling out their housing questionaire! :D

I had the same question as abecedarian. My d is going to be new lower this year. Would anyone tell the names of the girls dorms ect. Is it true that flag staff is the nicest cluster to be in?

wow that sounds like a really good dorm room!

The bedroom part is teeny tiny. But there is a door to each bedroom so you can have a little privacy.

Does any one know if Foxcroft, Bartlet, Day Hall, and Stearns House, any of those is a girls dorm? Could some one give me the list of a few girl’s dorms that are close to the academic building and close to Graves Hall? Thanks.

Foxcroft, Bartlet, Stearns, are boy dorms. Day is a girl dorm.

Thanks so much.

which is better adams hall or paul revere for girls?

Paul Revere, hands down. You’ll be in the center of campus, steps from Commons and the Library, and will get to know more of your peers. Rooms there are in great demand, so you might not even get one until you are an Upper.

i heard adams had nicer dorms though?

What is the rooming situation in Paul Revere? Does Paul Revere has singles or 2 room doubles? Do you have to wait till like senior to get a single there?

bumpity bump bump

bump bump bump

bump 10char

On average, how much space do the dorms have for storing stuff? and where do you put your luggage? are bed risers allowed?

Storage: usually under bed/in closet or somewhere else in your room. I presume you are a girl and in general, you guys get HUGE rooms (as freshman) and if you’re an upperclassman, you generally get better rooms than guys.

Bed risers: not needed. You can adjust the bed frame’s height for under bed storage (go about 4 ft high)

How huge?? Like have-space-to-buy-furniture huge? lol

I was wondering the same thing as jeweled horse. I called Andover the other day to ask about whether or not we should/can bring any furniture. I was told that we can bring a small nightstand or a small shelving unit, and some lamps. :)

I sent in my housing card a while ago, and I remember that I didn’t write down a specific dorm/cluster that i would prefer. Is that okay? I did say that I would prefer a single room. When will we find out what dorm/cluster we are going to be in?

Thanks!
