Could any of you tell me about Nathan Hale? I'd especially love to know its personality or stereotype (I'm thrilled about Andover; I promise you won't bias or upset me with your answer). Is it in a good location? Any other info?

It’s a decent location. It’s the farthest of the PKN dorms, but it’s not that far. Your two main house counselors tend to be a bit on the strict side, but the prefects tend to be fairly lax (I don’t know who this year’s prefects are, though). Most of the girls there (but not all) are rather outgoing. I haven’t been in a Hale single, but the three room doubles are fantastic. I’m not sure if those exist anymore, though. They might be triples now. Last year they added 4-6 girls to Hale, and I assume that’s where they went.

My revisit guide lived in Hale in a single. It was the tiniest room EVER. But about the three room doubles, they still exist and they are sooo nice. My tour guide was right across the hall from one and she showed me. But I alos heard that there are some really crappy tiny doubles too. So idk it depends.

They’re still 3-room doubles. The singles are on the small size, and the 3-room doubles have a nice entry-room with diminutive bedrooms. I think there are 1 or 2 rooms on the 2nd floor in the center that were spacious singles converted to doubles, so they’re a little small too. But that’s what you get for Pine Knoll in general. Since everything is separated into groups of 8 students (4 singles, 2 doubles with a bathroom), you should get to know the people around you pretty well. I posted more information in the general dorm thread, if you’re interested.

Any room with a letter is a double. Not every room without one is a single, though.

yeah at summer session, boys were jealous of the girls that got the nathan hale dorm…most people believe it to be one of the nicest on campus. Good Luck!

@andoverwarrior6: Are you sure you don’t mean Paul Revere? Nathan Hale’s not a bad dorm, but I’d imagine Johnson and Paul Revere are considered nicer for dorms of comparable size.
