Andover Exeter Hotchkiss

Hey everybodii,, alright so im applying forr hotchkiss, PA, and exeter, and i was wondering whether you guys think i'll make it., im pretty sure i will though.
6th grade: 5B'sand 3 C's
7th grade: 4B's,2 A's, 1 C
8th grade: 3B's, 2A's, 3 C's.
Pardon my grades there average.
I am in 5clubs ( that oughtta count for something) and I play softball( not on a team though). I'm really nice and I made honor roll maybe 2 times.

You need to try to get higher grades for the 9th grade year.

why my grades are just avg.?

Although it depends on the context of those grades within schools, HADES schools generally want the absolute strongest candidates, particularly academically, meaning having “average” grades may be problematic.

like the person above me said… maybe you should raise your grades higher, get more ec’s, aand try for more schools

Your grades are, quite truthfully, less than average. They are far below the level these schools would accept. You need to try for straight A’s in 9th grade, although 1 B might be okay. What are the clubs and what are your roles in them? If you’re not on a team, it doesn’t matter. Do you go to a Public or Private school? Most people are on the honor roll at their schools. Most people applying are in the top 10% of their class.

it appears applying123 posted this in the Prep School Chances as well…

And these schools do not accept just average. They want the best of the best. And even if you are full pay, if you aren’t the best, they won’t accept you. Try leaning toward some lower tiered schools, schools with higher acceptance rates. They would be a better fit for your “average” grades. I believe that if you are fine with a C and don’t think you need to get straight A’s to be accepted, you would be overly stressed and probably flunk out of Andover, Exeter, or Hotchkiss.

Yeah, you should definitely get your grades higher since this would probably reflect on your SSAT’s too. Also, a lot of the new freshman at Andover were the best in their class back in eighth grade. Also, they like mostly A’s and maybe a few B’s…

How many of you believe that this is the same person who said being accepted to A/E made him/her “so sad” and “worthless”? I do. :)

Your probably right NoDrama look at the way they said their “grades are just average”.
I was thinking about that too;your username doesn’t reflect who you are that much.
No offense

sorry to say, but not a good chance.
