I just got Andover's info in the mail and I was not impressed. If anything I was let down. I was expecting something much better.

And what's with this book style packets all the schools seem o be sending? I find it really annoying b/c you can barely open it and there's lime a million teeny, tiny words that we're supped to read.

I really liked Andover before I got the packet. I think that says something

Please don’t apply. Please. Please. It would be insulting the school.

Andover’s admission packet was among the best I’ve seen, last year ofc. It far surpassed the others.

Don’t apply.

That’s assuming you are serious. If you are just slightly baffled, remember, it’s normal. With everything going on I’m sure it can be overwhelming. Please tell me you are not completely serious, tho.

@PV- 1st of forget about insulting the school- don’t insult me.****
2nd of all I was not entirely serious. What I meant was that the info packet of a school I really liked before should not turn me away from it, which it did. I didn’t get a good feel of it if that makes any sense.

@2010- no, not the format of the text. The format of the whole book. I just didn’t like it so therefore not going to apply without considerable berrating from someone to convince me otherwise.
Anyway, if I didn’t like the info packet why would I waste my time applying. Its not that it didn’t seem good I just didn’t like it as much as before.

also @ PV- I have no idea what it looked like last year but this year it looks like an American Girl book.
I didn’t like Milton’s viewbook last year(from when my sister was applying), but this year I love it. It might be a formatting thing of some type.

contrary to what most people think, viewbooks/websites influence more then you think. everyone wants to believe that they are open minded but they are always influenced by it. If you have limited places you can travel to/apply, your decision will be partially based on viewbooks/websites/and info from current students.

No clue, about any of them. Sorry. There’s this link of boarding school students and parents on CC. I gotta go now, but I’ll post it when I get back this afternoon.

Tabor is by the ocean - literally BY THE OCEAN, like go-outside-and-smell-the-sea-salt close. As a result, it has a strong marine biology program. :)

LOL principal v seems like a fraud because he said he had to go to sleep at 10 pm cc time, but in India that’s eight thirty in the morning, and it’s a school week.

First of all, that was 7 30 in the morning, not 8 30. I love it when get there facts wrong and make an accusation with them (kind of like Iraq). I said I have to go, aka to school.

Maybe you should read the whole post… or learn to read.

Does anyone else see how pointless this argument is?

Why don’t we actually contribute to the CC conversation with some meaningful input and work on getting into the schools we want to get into, instead of arguing about where somebody lives? At the end of the day, is it really going to make a difference to you where the hell some guy on some internet forum is? No.

wow. really way to pick a fight guys. by format of the book i meant i didn’t like it. therefore i don’t see the use of applying to a school i don’t like the looks of. anyway-back to the subject- what about mercersburg or berkshire. i’m trying to apply to a wide range of schools.
