<p>@synchro155: Where did you get that info? If true and refers to completed applications then it sounds like a very slight increase from last year’s 3029 but is not its “record high”. And it could be good news actually. Last year despite the decrease of applications, the admit rate went down because they had to admit fewer students due to the unexpected higher yield and over enrollment the previous year. Good luck to you all who are waiting for Andover decisions!</p>
<p>My daughter did receive an acceptance package this morning by FEDX at 10:30am.</p>
<p>Oh okay, that explains it. I’m an international applicant and the portal only opens at 5PM EST (5AM in my time zone). Crossing my fingers!</p>

<p>@Matchang: Not necessarily! The package could just be delayed. Just check the Andover admissions portal at/after 5PM EST to find out whether you’re in or not. Lets keep up the positivity! :)</p>
<p>@26postcards I know at least in previous years from current students they mail them out via FedEx for yeses, meaning you could possibly know before 5pm when the results come online. </p>

It’s just that I’m an international student, so the only way I’ll be able to check my decision today is through the online portal. </p>
<p>@talorBrill: Congrats! Maybe you can share some stats possibly included in the admission packet you have received? Such as # of students admitted, admit rate etc.? I wouldn’t consider it bragging in this context. Unless some posters object?</p>

<p>My DC rec’d FedEx admission packet this AM at around 9:00. @Benley there are no stats inside. It contains certificate of admission, letter from Dean of Admission, postcard note from interviewer, letter from class officer, letter from Headmaster, invitation to revisit days, and info on tuition & payment options. The only thing ‘new’ in this packet (have older child that was admitted to PA previously) is an invitation to “A Day with Big Blue Athletics” which I don’t remember them holding previously. It is a Sat. BBQ event in addition to the revisit days.</p>

<p>From the PA Admissions FB page earlier today: “Thank you to the 3,049 students who applied to Andover this year. We greatly appreciate your interest in Phillips Academy and the time and effort you put into your applications. Our decisions will be available online today at 5:00 p.m. EDT.”</p>
<p>I received a Fedex package from Hotchkiss earlier today. Not sure when exactly. It says it was shipped March 7th. I didn’t get anything from PA, though. Obviously not a good sign, but some people are saying they can come at two different times? I am new to this so I have no idea. People who received packages, could you say roughly how close to Andover, MA you are so I can see if it’s possible for me to get it tomorrow? Thanks.</p>
