We’re excited to announce a completely new, rewritten mobile app for College Confidential! We’ve listened to you, have heard about the things that needed improved, and we have made a big step forward towards a greater mobile experience for both iOS and Android devices with our new native app.
We teamed up with Tapatalk to design a cleaner, simpler, and more stable experience for our community members. You’ll still have access to over 700+ forums along with millions of posts from students, parents and experts, answering all your college-bound questions. Additionally we’ve streamlined the app for a better experience by separating the Forum as a stand alone app and removing the Campus Vibe portion.
We’ve improved the landscape and portrait mode and added the ability to save searches within the forum. Along with the increase in stability, new functionality and a better user experience, this new version will officially be iPhone 5 and iPad optimized! We wanted to get this app out and into your hands as quickly as possible, so in-app registration will be available in an upcoming release.
We hope that you are as excited as us with this new, updated app. There’s more great things coming this year for College Confidential and we couldn’t have done it without you all.
Downloaded it, has some glitches but works fine.
is this an update or a new app?
We pushed this app out as an update for the convenience of our thousands of users. However the app has a new code from our mobile app partner Tapatalk. You should be able to find the latest version (1.20) in the Apple App Store soon. We are currently working with Apple to have the page updated.
It is not showing up in The Amazon app store (for the Kindle Fire).
So far I love it on my iPad! Much cleaner interface
Only wish is that I didn’t have to scroll through entire alphabetical list of universities and could quickly jump to the appropriate letter as before
Thanks so much for the new app!
The previous one did not have ads. This one does
Downloaded the mobile app which is nice. I am now getting a malware warning from chrome on my desktop, letting me know “campusview”, a known malware provider, has inserted code in the page. What’s up with that? Thanks.
Now i just need an iphone…
or even an android phone…
Sabaray, a third-party ad triggered that alert. The mobile app is unaffected. Ads have been turned off while we ensure that our ad providers are secure. The warnings should be gone now. Sorry about the problem.
I’d like to believe that, Roger, but I’m a little skeptical at this point.
My iPad application does not have ads.
Thumper, I think ads are off right now.
I still have ads on android…
My app crashed last night
