Hey guys!

I’m a prospective doctor and recently became highly interested in the PLME medical program at Brown. I was wondering if you experts might please help me gauge my chances? Please be brutal!! Please feel free to critique my chances for both Brown itself and the program

Nothing too distinctive, but I was hoping to impress with my essays:

-Personal Statement: how I was a jerk starting high school who only cared about himself and just wanted to make it through school and go to Julliard to be a concert pianist. But my previous ASB president inspired me through servant leadership

-Personal Statement #2: (trying to decide between 2) How my best friend got into trouble with the police and how even though I was appalled by what he did (drug issues) and for lying to me, I still decided to remain his friend to make sure he went on the right path

-Why I want to be a Doctor: How I struggled as a child with various surgeries and medical conditions, and when cancer killed my grandfather.

-Why I’m into PLME: I like the idea of a liberal education and not a one track career. I’ve been forced out (due to family pressure) from cultural diversity my whole life and I love the freedom to be able to pursue a degree in Anthropology or Political Science that can finally expose me to the world. Corny but true…

Thanks so much for your time and consideration! Your input is greatly appreciated.

P.S. I’m applying regular decision
