PLME Chances?

Hey guys,
Sorry for another PLME chance-request thread…I’m just extremely unsure about whether I have a chance at this, and any feedback would be great. Here are my stats:

SAT: 2400
SAT II:
biology e–770
us history–760
chemistry–730
math2–730
GPA: 3.9/4.0

ive been taking the hardest course load that my school offers. i’m also taking a spanish course at the local county college because my school wouldn’t let me take ap spanish, and i wanted 4 years of a language under my belt.

im very involved with my school’s orchestra. ive been playing the violin for 7 years and i was elected VP of the group in 10th and 11th grades, i was elected president for 12th. i play as section leader of the first violins.
i also taught myself guitar and have my very casual band with some friends. im going to mention this, but not excessively.
i’ve been volunteering alooooot these past few years. ive got hours at a local nursing home, at a hospital, at a library. I’ve also been shadowing a doctor once a week.
i was invited to and attended the UMDNJ-RWJ mini-medical school program which gives kids a taste of how medical school is.
ive been playing golf for two years, i made varsity last year, and im going to continue with it this year.
i was just named senior of the month at my school.
im in alot of honor societies at school (national, spanish, history, music, science). Im running for office in science national honor society.
im in peer mediation, and a future doctors club at school
ive had a job for the past few years.

alright, i think i’ve got it. again, thank you so much in advance for taking time out to read this. good luck to all of us!!

bump.

any opinion at all would be great. please?

I hate PLME chance me threads…
PLME is a shot in the dark for EVERYONE. If you are fanatical about becoming a doctor and you love Brown then just apply, and you never know what will happen. But as for chancing people for the program that is almost impossible.
Unless you are an African American female who lives in Mongolia, has perfect SAT Is/IIs, 45 predicted on the IB and worked in a hospital in Iraq…

i’m sure you can understand how anxious i am. of course i am going to apply, but it is also important to remain realistic. if someone honestly says, “hey, really, you dont have that great of a chance” then i’ll appreciate that. its important for me to know what my chances are, whether i can keep my hopes up. it’s not self-adulation. i honestly have no idea how these things work, and if someone a bit wiser can help me out, that would be great.

:)

I understand your anxiety as I am applying PLME myself. Didn’t mean to sound so harsh.
But my point is that nobody knows whether they will get into PLME. Apply if you love medicine but don’t expect anything.

i know. i didnt take it personally, im not a fan of chances either. I understand what you’re saying about a shot in the dark too.
& wow. you are one really rational person to take that approach. good for you…and good luck too.

I think your SAT score is the highlight, otherwise your gpa is great and your ECs are decent but not extraordinary.
