Another chance post

I’m sort of neurotically anxious about admissions. Here are my stats:

3.9 Weighted GPA. The problem is, I take nearly all AP/H courses and my unweighted GPA is only 3.5.
ACT: 32

EC:

District and Regional 2nd Place Winner in a yearly English competition; invitee to state tournament
Model UN participant for four years, cabinet leader for one year; received verbal commendation for leadership
Debate Club Coordinator --> VP --> President
Honors Band Participant, Honors Jazz Band Participant, Pep Band Participant, and Musical Orchestra pianist (all for all four years)
Tri-M Music Honors Society
National Honors Society
Various Public Speaking/Debate Awards
Academic Bowl Varsity player for 2 years

Key Club member for 1 years

I like to think my ECs look fairly good, but I’m troubled by very weak UW GPA. Please be honest.

Thanks!

A lower UW GPA from a majority of AP/H classes shouldn’t be a worry. GW (like most schools, I’m sure) looks at the difficulty of course load with respect to GPA.

Everything else looks good. If it’s true that most of your classes are AP/H (you didn’t really elaborate on what “nearly all” comes out to as far as numbers) then I think you’ve got a good chance at admittance.
