Another Chance Thread

Hey College Confidential, I know its probably annoying having yet another chance thread come along, but I'd really like other people's opinion of my chances. I'm applying to the engineering school, and also M&T (let me know if there's any shot there, I know its the crap shot of crap shots, but it was only 1 additional essay, so I decided no problem just trying out)

Edit:
Essays and Recommendations
Math Rec: Quite good, she's a good writer, likes me, and taught me 2yrs
Other Teacher Rec: Should also be good. Swim coach, World Hist. Teacher, taught me 1.25yrs
Other Thing: One of the Boy Scout leaders was a Penn alum, he heard I was applying, and offered to write to one for me. Should be good
Essays: I'm not a great writer, but I'd say most were pretty above average for me, my common app long was about engineering + me.

I'd say you have a pretty good chance, at least for engineering. Great SAT's and extracurriculars. The only thing I'd be worried about is your class rank. I'd try to make sure i was in the top 5% if i were you. Also, where do you live? If you live in a state where they get tons of applicants from, it'll be harder. But if you live in montana, easier.

I'm a white, male, Californian who lives in a rich neighborhood. It's hard to get into top 5% - I'm pretty sure I am though (one of my friends was top 5% with 4.12 end of junior year) - because its quite a competitive public school.

I like your chances for engineering as well but not for M&T just because it is so selective.
But what is this rubik's clube that you created? Is it a club that solves rubik's cubes? lol

Yea, I knew it wasn't likely/possible, but ehh, only 1 extra essay.

And yea, we solve cubes in the Rubik's Clube. Our motto is "Get ALL the ladies with the Rubik's Clube." Also, those of us who don't yet know the algorithm are working on solving a 4x4 and 5x5. We were able to do 4x4, 5x5 is pretty freakin hard to figure out.

rubiks clube! ahhh!! ingenious!! i'd be the adcom who goes "zomg, thats wonderful! immediate acceptance!!!"

haha no but seriously, awesome chances from what i can discern =]

Thanks guys, I'm feeling reassured. Any other thoughts?

BTW, thanks for the compliments on The Clube. I felt really cool when I made up the name.

As you should!!! haha
