I'm not sure if this question has been answered, and if it has, please direct me to the topic that it has been discusses in....

but I was just thinking...I'm taking the SAT IIs for a second time in October (lets just say I was totally unfocused the first time I took them, and they are NO way competitive enough for MIT). Now, the application deadline for the SATs for EA is the November test date, so technically, I could take them two more times before my application is final.

now my question...what do i put on my application under the self-reported score section if I don't have the scores yet? Because usually, they come out three weeks after, which would be past the november 1st deadline. I'm curious, do you just guess? Or put what you got first?

Sorry if I just rambled a lot, I tend to do that

No matter what you write down, they'll have your scores in front of them when they're reading your application, so in some sense it doesn't matter.

I'd just write the scores you have gotten already. Guessing is probably not a good idea.

haha, thanks mollie! I was assuming guessing isn't a good idea, but you never know (plus, I'm REALLY bad at guessing). I'm wondering if maybe I should just put something in the "anything else we need to know about you" box, mentioning that the self-reported scores are not the ones to look at....or maybe not, considering they'll just be looking at my highest scores anyways?

I would recommend doing something more creative and personable in the "anything else we need to know" box, rather than just reminding the Admissions Officers to look at your SAT II scores. ;) They can see your numbers, don't worry: what they want to do is find out about who you are, what motivates you and makes you tick, how you respond to challenges and even failures, what brings you joy and makes the gears in your mind spin.

Let them do their jobs with the numbers, and use the "anything else" box to tell them something special. :)

ah! I don't know if it's because Im unbelievably tired right now, or stressed out, but I didn't even think about using the "anything else" box for that kind of thing....thanks for the advice!
