Another FAFSA question (or two)

Okay - I feel so stupid with this, but am working on the worksheet, and toward the beginning, it asks about the student - "student's household size" and "student's number in college".

Then, later, it asks "student's parents' household size" and "student's parents' number in college".

(Daughter is our dependent)

So.....do we put down 1 and 1 on the first (student's) part, and then list her again in parents' household size and in the parents' number in college? This seems repetitive. (I hope I'm making sense on this)

Also.....it asks about the student's grade level - daughter has taken two college courses at night during Senior year - so is she "never attended college and 1st year undergraduate", or is she "attended college before and 1st year undergraduate"?

I apologize in advance if this has been covered and I missed it. Thanks for any guidance you can offer!

When you are filling out the first part of the FAFSA, the questions have to do with your student. If she is your dependent, then you skip Step 3. You missed where it says "complete this step only if you answered yes" to the questions which made her independent. She has never attended college as far as FAFSA is concerned.

Jamimom -

Thanks so much!
