Does anyone know any gay literature that isnt really sappy or agnst ridden?

Is there any?

someone must know at least one

You should try

How I Paid for College : A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship & Musical Theater
by Marc Acito

It has agnsty stuff but it puts a comical spin on it.

There's this book that's considered one of the first (and most important) GLBT books in American literature called The Well of Loneliness by Radclyffe Hall. As the title suggests, it gets a big angsty, but for the most part it's really not. Plus, it was written in the 1920s, so the angst is a little different anyway. It's a pretty good book, and very interesting if you consider the time period it was written in/takes place in.

Thanks guys.
Anyone else?

The Line of Beauty: Alan Hollinghurst( confused with the last name)

Depends on how seriously you mean "literature"; if you're just looking for something light and fun to read, there's a mystery series featuring a lesbian detective. The auther is Jean Marcy.

and David Sedaris is always fun. Totally hilarious guy.

Yeah, Im looking for some really light, shut your brain off, a little racy;) reading.

then definitely read "me talk pretty one day" by david sedaris. It's a book of (semi) autobiographical essays, a lot of which deal with him being gay. They're all so funny!
