so i wanna major economics. i live in orange county and plan to live here at least for a couple years after graduation, maybe my whole life, who knows.

cal state fullerton, although their stats are not that great, apparently has a good business school. other advantages are that its in an area of economic activity. orange county is known as a growing hub for many businesses. by going to cal state fullerton, i open myself up to more opportunities outside of school, with internships and connections, meeting people who live in my area and can hopefully help me along in my future. plus by going to csf i can intern during the school year (which idk if most students do, or if i shuld).

my other choice is ucsb, which i think has the better economics department. the thing is, SB is more of a tourist location, not a place of economic activity. i dont see many outside of the classroom opportunities. also, since csf is about 2 hours away, i dont see myself making many connections or people that could help influence my future in orange county. granted some, but not as much as fullerton.

the thing is, if i decide to intern or something during the summer, it wont matter that i went to csf over ucsb cuz ill intern anyway. and by going to csf i meet more potential allies. but i'm going to the lesser school (i think...).

what do you guys think?
