SAT 1: 2290 (800V, 800WR, 690M)
SAT II: 770 Wrld Hist, 700 Bio M, 790 US (estimate, just took it today) and 750 Math IIC.
APs: World History 5, English language 5, US history 5. </p>

<p>taken all honors and APs (save elective classes ie. Latin, where they only offered honors for the 1/2 sequence, but a regents for the 3rd year).</p>

(we have a really small MUN club, started in my freshmen year by some other dude, so I've only been to 3 conferences total, we only go to 2 conferences year round).

National Merit Semi Finalist (I got the letter for the top 50,000, and I'm awaiting september results, but my scores were both in the 99 percentile and in the semi fi range for New York)
National Latin Exam 2004 gold, 2005 silver</p>

<p>Summer of 2004: Junior Statesmen of America Princeton, took AP Comparative Gov and Speech COmmunication honors - got an A in gov, a B+ in speech (I slacked off cuz my proff was demented, but govy was an AMAZING class taught by a cornell proff).
Summer 2005: Will be working at the local library and taking classes at the local community college. SHOULD I TRY TO FIND A GOV/LAW INTERN INSTEAD? </p>

<p>No one knows if you will get in or not, b/c we cannot predict your essays and recs and how the adcom will view them. However, most of us will say you have a better shot of getting accepted than rejected with those stats. Just work hard next year and hope all goes well.</p>

<p>Just apply and see what happens, don't let anything stop you from applying if you want to go to CU. . . .however do not be overconfident, remember, there is a certain element of randomness in college admissions.</p>

<p>he got a 750 on IIC, i dont think the 690 will be too much of a problem with the rest of the stats. I stand by my "good chance" rating haha. </p>

<p>nerdstatuz, take a look at cornell's middle 50th SAT stats. and you'll see that an old 1490 is very very good...</p>

<p>Looks like you have a good chance. It just depends on your recs and essays now. I got a very low score on the Math IIC, and my overall resume was not nearly as good as yours but I was accepted. What I think got me the spot was my essays, so be sure to spend a lot of time perfecting your essays and you have nothing to worry about. Good luck.</p>

<p>and YES you have a shot. btw i dont mean this to be an insult but if you can get that 690M to an 800M... i think that will be damn sexy. also youre intending to be an econ major.. you know enough math to pull that 800 off.</p>

<p>an old 1490 is very very good? WOOT! all my high school career I thought my 1490 wasn't that good.. what with so many of my peers breaking 15 in front of my eyes... <em>sob</em></p>
