Another rec???

If I want to major in something in college that is not a core req in high school (so it's not any of the sciences, history, english, etc.) would it be okay/favored if I got an extra recommendation from a teacher who taught me an elective for like 2/3rds of the year in the field that I am interested in? She knows me pretty well. Is it okay this is a recommendation from a teacher who taught me an elective and not a core class? Is the answer for this question different for every college?

Thank you!

yup. Although your major choice typically doesn’t affect admission policies, if you are greatly interested in that certain major and back it up with ec’s (related to the major), classes, and teacher recommendations who teaches that subject, you are making yourself a strong sureshot toward that college of study.

There probably not going to let you switch majors once you’re in though
