<p>My son is a rising senior, who goes to one of the most competitive high schools in Maine.</p>
<p>Unweighted GPA: 94.9; 3.81 (they don't do a weighted GPA)
Class Rank: Top 10% (as much info as the school gives, but he was one of only three students out of his junior class of 178 to make high honor roll the entire year)</p>
<p>SAT: M - 780; CR - 690; W - 750</p>
<p>AP Biology: 5</p>
<p>Next year will take AP Calculus, Physics, Spanish, Latin, Modern European History</p>
<p>Eagle Scout </p>
<p>Sunday School 5th and 6th grade teacher</p>
<p>Varsity runner since first semester of high school (9 letters so far, in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track). Will be captain as senior. School's team won Class B state championships twice for cross country and once for indoor track. 2nd in state in 2 or 3 events. Participated in New England and national meets. Part of team from Maine that won their age division in national Junior Olympics Cross Country championship ("All-American").</p>
<p>He's trying to decide whether to put down biology as his first choice, or engineering (biomedical or mechanical). </p>
<p>Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated! He would be the 4th generation to attend Texas.</p>
