another uc question...

When I enter my courses for an honors class, it looks like this:

Course type:
Geometry A/B (H)

Honors status:
NH

I suppose NH stands for Non-honors
But (H) in the course type stands for Honors

Is this right??

Its like this for my other Honors classes too.

A lot of my schools' honors classes don't count for the extra point awarded too.

Google "UC Doorways" and type in your school. You will then see a complete class list of your school. If there's a star next to an honors class, that means you will get the extra point for it awarded to your weighted GPA, otherwise it doesn't.

^ what if you take honors classes but don't live in CA?

You list them as HL. I believe on their application it says that if you take an honors, AP, or IB class outside of California (where there is no a-g system), you list them as HL.

Here is the link to your answer from a UCD admission officer

jb:

the Honors designation only goes on the app for UC-approved honors courses (in-state). By definition, no Geom course will be UC-approved, nor are Alg II courses -- Alg II used to be, back in the dark ages.

I believe honors courses for OOSers do not get added weight, since they need to be UC-approved, though this may have changed.
