[Sorry for asking a waitlist question, but...]
So I got two calls from Georgetown last week, and in the second one the admissions officer told me what I'd get in financial aid if I were to be taken off the waitlist and asked if I had any questions. I asked "I'll know by the 15th, right?" and she said "yes, but I think I'll be talking to you in a few days"...and the 15th is tomorrow. Does that mean anything significant?

is the waitlist over already? and sdr691 are you going to go if they call you back?.. i was put on the waitlist but nobody calls…

I don’t know if it’s over, but I guess it was supposed to be over by today. If they call me back, I would definitely go to Georgetown

I have a friend who was waitlisted but received a rejection letter last week.
Im also on the WL but didn’t hear from them by yesterday.
Anyone know whats going on?

I got off the waitlist yesterday, so I guess they might have mailed letters on the 15th.

i think those who got calls are taken from the list and the rest of us will receive rejection letters in the mail next week. So sad!

sdr691, did you receive a call or a letter indicating that you had been taken off?

if the date to notify the school is june 15th, how do they take people off of the waitlist already?

am i missing something?

To those that got off the waitlist, did you send in additional essays or letters of recommendation?

sdr691 - Do you know who called you?
and do you think everyone who got off the waitlist got a call on saturday?

I received a letter on the 16th indicating that I was removed from the waitlist. I live about 200 miles from DC so it probably was sent on the 15th and I just received it in one day. Kamilah Holder is the admissions officer who called me. They called my home phone - which, sadly, is always busy - so they initially couldn’t get through, but I got an e-mail and replied with my cell phone number and then I actually talked to her. I didn’t get a call on Saturday, but I did the week of the 3rd. Personally, I didn’t send anything to Georgetown aside from the reply postcard. I hope everyone else gets good news - I bet it’s possible if you live farther away that you’ll get the letter on Monday! Good luck!

aw i guess i didnt get off the waitlist (didnt get a phone call) :(

I was under the impression earlier that they called you to tell you that you got off the wait list but maybe that was just the first round that happened right around may 1 - sounds like we will all be getting letters one way or another

Josie17, I got the same impression. I sent continued letters of interest, and a friend of mine who got off the waitlist last year DID NOT get any confirmation (phone call, e-mail, financial aid info) before recieving a letter of acceptance off the waitlist. If anyone does get in PLEASE post! I’m in NY, so I think I’ll be finding out via mail in the next couple of hours. Good luck again everyone!

I just got a letter today telling me that I was put on the extended waiting list.
I am so running out of patience! Deferred Early Action, then wait-list regular decision, and waitlisted again!

Anyhow, it’s still my #1 choice.
I hope they accept me!!!

Good luck! And jsk91, that is awful I’d hate to wait that long

Yea, I have the same scenario as jsk91. Deferred Early Action, waitlisted regular decision, and now waitlisted again.

^ at least you were not rejected from the waitlist! 2 days ago i was rejected from JHU’s list!! now i’m waiting for GU but i’m sure i’ll be rejected…

Kulakai:

They didn’t ask me for any additional information, I just received a letter two days afterwards confirming acceptance. :)

Any transfer students get on the waitlist?
