So, we're done with all knids of essays and short answers and now you have this small thing obstructing your way. "Please share with us how u learnt about college x." And answer it in 150 words, common i was thinking of a straight one or two words.

I mean do I just tell them that I knew you from USNews and princetonreview and that you were on top 10. Or should I make something up about guidance counselors, collegeboard matchmaker and stuff like that.!!

What did you guys use (apart from college fairs coz I am international and that was kinda impossible!!)? Any advice?

Assumng its true, say that you know about them from common knowledge and that you have been planning to apply for admissions ever since you can remember, or something like that.

just tell the truth. that box cannot have that much of an impact on admissions. on the brown application the same box existed and i wrote the dumbest response ever and got in, so dont worry about it.

one of my friends who got into Brown PLME said that he heard about Brown from a Natalie Portman movie. I really don't think that that box is super important, unless you have legacy and want to mention it. (i.e. My Dad bought me a duke sweatshirt before i was old enough to walk...blah blah blah)
