Hi! I have questions about Summer Bridge and Triton Freshman Scholar. I applied to both, but I just got my TFS acceptance. However, TFS requires me to confirm my attendance within 5 days. SB decisions won’t be out till June 15th. Should I just accept TFS as of now just in case I don’t get into SB? Or is that wrong?
@Randomdude123 I would say it is safe to assume so, yes. You would have to pass the Entry Level Writing Requirement in order to get into the Warren writing courses; I assume this English pre-req would be waived if you passed either (or even potentially both) of the AP exams.
Oh, thanks!
@veeveeanz Hi, my daughter was accepted to SB first and had the same concern in reverse. We called SB and asked if she could accept and then back out if it turned out she was accepted to TFS and wanted to attend TFS. We were told she could change her mind. Then, she went to the website to accept SB and there is a note that pops up stating if you accept SB you are declining all other summer programs. So, she did not proceed with the SB acceptance and emailed them explaining the situation and asking for more time or some other assistance with working through this issue… As it turns out, she heard from TFS with a day to spare on the SB deadline and chose TFS. I really think they need to revise their program deadlines/notifications to better align with each other, it is not fair to expect someone to make a decision in 5 days when they don’t necessarily know all their options. Anyway, just wanted to advise you that you can not accept TFS and then switch to SB
