dbroncos23,
On the first page it asks for your USC id number (10 digits) and your birthday. Have you seen this page?

After that it asked me to create an account name and password.

My daughter then got an email link to verify her identity and then we were in. It did not say ‘accepted’ anywhere but her financial aid account was live. Not conclusive but not negative.

I guess it just means that I resume my mailbox bunker stance.

Wheaty, hey when i logged on the oasis site with my usc id and bday, they just asked me to make a new password. how did you get to the creating account name part?

Guys, I don’t think this is a good method of checking… it seems like setting up an account is similar to setting up a USConnect account. For all we know, they could let anyone set one up as long as they have a USC ID number. And they could let anyone sign up so that they can take summer courses and stuff. I don’t think we should use it as an indicator of admission.

Dream & Tornados,
That’s why I brought it to you experts to help sort through this. I’ll stick to ‘inconclusive’ and resume my mailbox position.
Thanks guys,
Wheaty

Just a tiny caution to avoid broken hearts: At some point, ALL applications will be forwarded, reviewed, forwarded, etc. and have an answer sent, regardless of what that answer is.

To clear up any confusion on when admission decisions will be made, I would suggest you call 213.740.1111 for all admission inquiries, and any engineering applicants can call the Viterbi School of Engineering Office of Admission and Student Affairs directly at 213.740.4530. They can lookup each file and tell you when you can expect an admission decision. This way you don’t have to guess or rely on other people’s experiences. Hope this helps! Fight on!
