On the CommonApp on the Academics section, it asks you to self-report SAT Scores. It also says something to the effect of, "If you plan to take a test in the future, please select the test you wish to take and leave the 'score' field blank."

So I did that. I PLAN to take a January Biology test. I don't know if I should, to be honest. I got a 700 on Literature and an 800 on Math II, and I'm applying to 3 ivies. But that's really not what I'm concerned with... well I am, but not that much.

My primary question is this: by filling in that field on the CommonApp, am I BOUND to taking that test? I know it says, "if you PLAN" -- and I did plan on it, but that doesn't mean it's for certain does it? Will a college look at my application, see that a test is still pending, and then put it in a separate pile -- and then when they see that I haven't taken it, will they reject me on the grounds that I hadn't sent in a complete testing profile? On the Brown website, it says that they cannot read an application without a complete testing profile. I don't know if this is what they meant.

I need some advice. I'm also applying to schools that don't even require any SAT Subject Tests, as well as others that don't accept January Subject Tests at all. Should I be safe and send them to everyone? That'll cost a lot of money though. Also, what can I do to ensure that the test scores get there as quickly as possible? Isn't there some option on the test itself where you can choose to send your scores to certain colleges? Does that still require a sending fee?

If I haven't been clear enough please tell me. Sorry for all the questions.

Thank you so much if you help.
