Thank you ALL!

One Trustee letter and one Presidential received, both in Los Angeles County yesterday. Both students received the scholarships!

Son interviewed for Presidential and received Presidential. Letter PM 3/25, received 3/27 in Socal.

Letter said to send back “attached” scholarship acknowledgement form by May 1 but there wasn’t one in the envelope. Did everyone who received the letter get the form as well?

No sholarship aknowlegement form was attached - I’ve heard from several people by now.
Last year, apparently, letters were not found in envelopes too. People did get e-mails with form to complete - within several days after official notification.

Just joined CC to post that I received the letter for the Trustee Scholarship today…
which was a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE surprise for me since I was initially invited for Presidential Scholarship interview, and I thought I did pretty poorly at the interview. I honestly can’t believe I got bumped up to Trustee!!

I am SOOO torn right now, because I also just got a full-Regents scholarship for Berkeley, as well as acceptances to a few of my top schools in the East Coast…

but then… this is the TRUSTEE scholarship… oh my… =/

Edit:
I’m from SoCal, and the letter is stamped 3/25/10.

that’s awesome 2014collegebound. what school did you interview for?

just plain old College of Letters, Arts & Sciences, Neurosciences major. :)

Damn. Lol.
Just got the letter. Bumped from Trustee to Presidential, but I felt I did really poorly in my interview so no surprise. Congrats 2014collegebound and everyone else.

Socal 3/25 postmark, 3/27 recieved

Congratulations to everyone who has received the letters! So just to clarify, it doesn’t look like anyone outside of SoCal has received them yet right? I’ll be waiting forever here in Ohio…

I believe you’re right, College182. And I will also be waiting forever in Tennessee!

:) received a letter for a presidential scholarship here in norcal! it was postmarked on the 25th, for reference.

Congrats to everyone who got a scholarship, and goodluck to those still waiting!

Update: my son just got trustee scholarship letter today (Monday, 3/29). We are from the Chicago area. He was interviewed for trustee scholarship and got it. He is so happy!

We love USC, we love LA and Fight On!

CONGRATULATIONS! Wonderful news!

Congratulations! Does the letter come in the regular mail, or via UPS? thanks!

vicky1: regular mail post dated on 3/25. Good luck to you too!

MidwestDad2:

Congratulations to you, your wife, AND especially your son! What an accomplishment for him.

Now we await the mail to arrive in our little town. It could be anywhere from one to five hours… Oh! Dear… patience!

Best wishes to all!!!

Those of us who frequent the USC board send you congratulations. The Trustee is the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship.

…hoping yorkie mom and others receive good news today.

I got notice from USC today that I received the Trustee Scholarship! I interviewed for the Presidential Scholarship, so being bumped up was quite a rush. Incredibly excited to put it mildly… I never thought at the start of this process that USC would end up working out and it has! Really stoked to attend there in the Fall. Congratulations to everyone in the Class of 2014. Fight On!

To College Bound,
Congratulations.

Neuroscience at SC has one of the premier professors. Antonio Damasio holds the Dornsife Chair in Neuroscience. He is director and co-founder of the Brain and Creativity Institute at USC College. His work is internationally recognized. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

There are other faculty stars in that field, but he is truly renowned.

The scholarship letter came in the mail a little while ago- S did not receive the Trustee scholarship. He received the Presidential, which he would have anyway since he is a NMF. But the experience we had at USC was wonderful! Thank you USC!

Life will go on. Now back to reality- it was a fun plan- but too expensive with two children in school next year and not qualifying for FA. : (

Too many decisions to make! But at least he has lots of choices
