<p>Hi Alamemom- If one is a spring admit, are scholarship funds out of the question at USC?</p>
<p>Congratulations to Midwestdad and college182! So happy for you all. college182, my s had an incredible neuroscience class in TO last year and he (and several others) wished they could major in it. Alas, too many inspiring classes, too little time.</p>
<p>Yorkiemom, I’m so sorry your s didn’t receive the full Trustee. That’s really a shame! We’ve grown so fond of you here on the USC boards. 
Wish he could still come to USC, but whereever he attends, he’ll have a wonderful education and terrific time.</p>

<p>Cograts to college182 on the bump and to yorkiemom’s son! As the mother of a Presidential Scholar at USC, I know how accomplished those honored with that scholarship are.</p>
<p>I just got my letter! I was bumped from Presidential to Trustee, which I was sort of hoping for but it’s still unexpected and amazing – really happy 
I don’t think it’s very likely that I’ll go (I think Pomona/others might still be cheaper for me), but the money might put it back in the running. I really liked USC at the visit, so we’ll see! Congratulations to everyone else who got it!</p>
<p>I totally second what madbean just said. My wife and I met with yorkiemom at the Explore USC days and had breakfast together and she was such a wonderful person. Her son is such a talented musician (a wonderful composer too) who cherishes and loves USC. It is such as shame not everyone can get the scholarship they interviewed for. I am sure Yorkiemom’s son will have many wonderful choices, but we still hope he can come to USC. </p>
<p>Like someone said in another college board, “Your identity is not shaped by the school you go to; rather, you determine it yourself.” </p>
<p>To those of you still waiting, you are all in our prayers. To those of you who did not get what you wish for, we are truly sorry, but life goes on. A bend in the road is not the end of the road.</p>

I’m incredibly happy right now, I’m probably going to submit my USC deposit tonight.</p>
<p>I got bumped down from Trustee to Presidential and am incredibly disappointed. I was frazzled during my interview and was actually crying before because I got lost, but I thought I composed myself well enough to do a good interview. Guess they didn’t think so. I did mention at the post-interview lunch to a woman that I didn’t remember who my interviewers were when she asked me (I was still so shook up from getting lost!) and she seemed shocked. Maybe that had some influence?
Anyway, it seems like they did a lot of bumping up and down this year. Do they ever bump people down to nothing or just to deans?</p>
<p>Hey everybody. Just a quick update - I got an e-mail from USC that contained a copy of the scholarship letter AND the scholarship acknowledgement form. So I guess they figured out that the acknowledgement form was not in the original letter. </p>

<p>There are some students on other USC sites who are getting scholarship letters-they are getting them about a week or two after getting accepted. I assumed that I would get no money, but hoping that maybe I will…I am a spring admit…</p>

<p>I actually received my notification letter today (I’m on the East coast), but I got the email (which was basically the same thing - only it DOES have the scholarship response form attached, unlike the actual paper letter) tonight at 10pm CST.</p>

<p>Has anyone heard about Deans or Alumni Scholarships?</p>
<p>^ There have been posts about people getting Deans scholarship, starting from sometime in February (I think). I’m not sure if they’ve sent them all out, but my guess would be yes since they’ve even sent out T/P notifications.</p>
