Lets just say I have a way of influencing people. But the downside is that I had to switch my major. But that's not bad at all considering that we may be able to change it once we're there right? haha

Blckthought, congratulations!
However, I am really appalled that PSU admissions can be so easily influenced over the phone and during a phone call, change a formal decision they ruled on the application. And that is before they even gave decisions to thousands of applicants who are still impatiently waiting. Kind of minimizes the whole validity and professionalism of the admission process.

theres nothing professional about admitting those who have grades worst than you. It simply doesn't make sense either. And it wasn't easy to influence them, I was on the phone with them for a good 2 hours.

Is it too late to switch majors?? Because, engineering is like...high in demand, and like, I just DON'T wanna get a rejection due to the fact that engineering filled up. >_<

I think that part of why I haven't heard is that my major seems to be mixed up. I called up the office in December and told them to switch from music (which requires an audition) to foreign languages (which doesn't). My MyPennState page still says that I'm listed under Arts - Visual and Performing, even though my switch was confirmed by the lady on the phone. Should I call again tomorrow to make sure?

well obviously!!! why didnt you ask how long it would take for that change to appear online??? You should have called back in December...dont leave the next four years of your life up to chance! Find out for sure.

does anyone know when they say if you got in or not? I sent everything in on Dec. 2nd, 2 days after the suggested deadline deal. Someone probably already posted something about this but I don't have the time to read through the whole forum. I check online everyday but it just says they have my application and are reviewing my credentials

they post it online when they make a decision. since you sent your stuff in after novemeber 30th, you probably won't hear until after january 31st.

oh and KJ, it's probably not too late! i'd call ASAP though for sure

ACCEPTED TODAYY!!!!!! UP, DUS!!
i really couldnt believe it after waiting this long and im beyond excited.
3.75 gpa 1270/1600, 1770/2400 with a bunch of volunteer, aps, and extracurriculars.
hopefully my stats will ease some of the nerves of the people here, if i got in so can you guys :) i didnt comment much here but i checked up very often and it was nice too see that people were going through the same stress as i was, and reading here helped the time go by.
i wish luck to everyone else who is still waiting, and goodluck mkc2100!! you said u thought i could get in, and u were right after all :)

Twillight and Neliz best of luck to both of you. My s has slightly lower GPA but slighlty higher SAT than Twillight so you have helped keep the spark of hope alive. Any Crime Law and Justice majors in the school of Liberal arts still waiting or heard yet? Once again best of luck to all who got in and I'll keep my fingers crossed for those of us who are still waiting
