Hey bmc, do you have an online profile on facebook or myspace or anything? I read on your site that you're in Dallas and that you will go to SVA... I was going to suggest we be friends cause I'm from Fort Worth and I'm pretty sure that if I get into SVA I will attend 100%. :]

I'm waiting to hear back from Pratt and SVA. I applied regular decision. I hear they are hurting for applicants because of the current economic climate.

Got Letter last December 17, 2008 accepted in Pratt Institute B.F.A degree in Painting. Since then, Pratt became my SAFE school but I also applied for RISD, MICA, MASON GROSS and SMFA (waiting for confirmation)

HOnestly, Portfolio days help a lot in getting in your desired Art School.

OMG I can't believe myself doing painting 0-0 and sorry to the Pratt Admission Officer who interviewed me. I accidentally hit him with my 30x40 Canvas during portfolio day.

Just got my big envelope from Alfred University-School of Art and Design. Also got the President's Scholarship. That'll help a lot.
Alfred was my #1 choice. I just fell in love with the school, and and especially the Art dept.
I liked not having to declare any one discipline as a major, so I get to try things I haven't done before and/or want to do more of, like glassblowing. I wanted to be at a LC college, to take other subjects.
Any other Alfred applicants?

Been accepted to SCAD ($$$), Pratt (waiting on scholarship), SVA (waiting on scholarship), and a couple liberal arts schools.
Still waiting on SAIC, UMich, UTexas, FIT, and Columbia College.
