Any advices? What about my chances?

I’m an Asian female. (sigh)

My chance for getting into Brown is most likely slim, but I would appreciate any advices for improving my chances.

I’m thinking of applying ED.

I attend an “art” school in Savannah, GA. Although it is a school in Georgia (the state to have second to last lowest average score in US), it is ranked as one of the best in the state. Most of the academic classes are offered as either AP or honors. We are required to pick an art major there and take at least 2 art classes per year.

GPA (I’m one of the top 10 in my year…not sure of the specifics)
freshman - 3.98
sophomore - 3.98
junior - 3.89

ACT - 31 (I am going to retake the ACT for the one last time this following Saturday.)
SAT II (haven’t received my scores yet)
-Math I
-Biology

I took 4 APs my junior year.
AP Calc AB 4
AP Language 3
AP Euro 3
AP Physics 2 (FAIL. I know. I just wasn’t good at it.)

Senior year:
AP Calc BC
AP USH
AP Biology
AP Statistics
AP Lit

Clubs
-Tri-M (currently the president)
-National Spanish Honors Society
-Beta Club
-Math Team
-Seniors-Freshmen Mentoring Club

Extracurriculars
Music
-piano (played for 9 years)
-accompanist for the school choir (entered competition with them in my junior year and received superior)
-GHP (governor’s honors program) semi-finalist in piano
-participated in piano competitions (one excellent and one perfect score)
-participated in many piano concerts

Sports
-swim team (in rec department in my town)
-tennis

Volunteering
-Soup kitchen
-Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk
-Secretary helper at a hospital
-tennis coach assistant

Internship
-paid full-time internship at a cardiologist’s office

I have THE best letters of recommendations that I could ever ask for from four of my teachers. I’m getting the letters from my AP Lang, AP Calc, AP Euro, and piano teachers.

APs are somewhat weak, hope your SATII will help. Interested in your internship, what did you do at the cardiologist’s office??
Best Luck!

are you saying you failed AP Physics? Are you submitting a portfolio or other of your arts work? This can help you a lot if it is really good. 4 recs are too many, esp since you will also get one from the GC that makes 5. Pick 2 core ones in math/science and in lang/hist, then add one if and only it is pointing out some exceptional thing you do. You simple cannot bog the admission officer down with 5 recs, it is inconsiderate.

Being from georgia may help you. ACT is low, so with no SAT, it is hard to gague anything.

Thank you for telling me about the recommendation. I haven’t thought about it like that.

I passed AP Physics class with a 95 but I failed the AP exam.

i’d say a pretty good chance, but your APs are very weak. PLME is very difficult to get into just fyi
