So anybody addicted to Cod like me, LOL. I feel some of you guys have busy schedules and never have time to play a game or something. I'm not saying this is the most popular hobby or something, but most of you guys seem like just focused on school, sports, or music/art, and your ECs. For me, it kind of gets in the way of school and stuff, but I still try to maintain my grades. So do you guys play?

I do play video games on occasion, but Call of Duty games really aren’t my type of game.
I like to have a deeper storyline, or more creative game play.
Such as, say Dishonored, Assassin’s Creed, Mass Effect. Probably painfully boring to you.

@HollowSunsets: I actually love every game you mentioned. Assassin’s Creed (all of them) are some of my favorites, Mass Effect is amazing, and Dishonored was awesome. Lol, it’s nice to see someone who plays something other than CoD; it gets kind of wearing after a while.

No, but my ninth grade brother constantly plays Black Ops 2.

I used to be addicted to video games and I’m lucky my school only offers APs to juniors/seniors, otherwise I might have had a B somewhere down the line (I’m a senior now, will have taken the only 5 APs my school has).

Anyways, second half of junior year came and I started caring about people and building deeper friendships while improving A-s to As (I’ll settle for A-s now though), so video games lost their luster. Haven’t sat down to play in 8 months except sometimes on vacations when my younger brother begged me.

I’d advise quitting, but if you have free time go for it. I’ll pretty much always have something better to do so I can’t justify them anymore, but they don’t interest me either.

^^^ except I will play any Legend of Zelda game that comes out, no matter how old I get! Love those games… so many childhood memories : D

Ex-addict here. Logged thirty days of play time on MW2 the summer after freshman year. When you’re unlocking new titles and whatnot it all seems so worthwhile, but then after you quit playing you realize how much time you actually wasted. If you work that hard towards objectives with real-world importance it’s really astounding what can be accomplished. (even more astounding than my 3.80 kdr)

It’d make for an interesting “what did you do during the summer” answer on applications.

Anyway, not a COD guy at all. I play assassins creed and some halo here and there, but don’t really have time for either.

I get what you mean OP. For a better than average(but not genius) it is a bit daunting on this site. I live in a small town so there are none of these super AP classes or EC’s so I have free time. I personally enjoy video games, but try to not allow it to get in the way. Oh and I enjoy story driven games/objective based multiplayer.

I used to play Xbox everyday in middle school. Now I play like twice a month, but that’s about to change since I just ordered assassins creed 23

Haven’t played games in a while. When I start up again, I’ll probably go to Skyrim or Arkham Asylum or something.
Call of Duty isn’t really my thing. =P

Not that I ever have time, but when I do, I play halo. Only because my brother bought me two xbox 360s and all the halo games. Yes, my brother is amazing, and I’d feel bad if I didn’t get on live with him and my cousins every once and a while. But still, halo is awesome (my brother has successfully brainwashed me).

I tried black ops 2 over thanksgiving with my cousin, and I suck at transit. End of my cod life.

No. Call of Duty kills your life!

Lol. I don’t only play Cod, but its just the most addicting thing to me, probably because most of my friends play it and they don’t seem to care about school as much.
I play assasins creed and other games, but that’s just for the storyline.
@GoodACTor: I get what u mean. Mw2 was my first and will always have a place in my heart, but after I stopped, I felt it was a waste. BUT every damn year a new cod comes out, and I save up usually most of the year to get it and I feel like its more important than school during the first 5 months of it. I just can’t control myself. lol
BTW: nice kdr

I play Halo, but only when I have time. I think that Halo requires more skill than CoD. I’ve been playing since H3, but Halo 4 disappointed me for some reason.

I play on pc and I played competitive cod4 and counter strike source for 5 years (6th through 10th grade). Won some cups and did well in some leagues from time to time, nothing special though. I play black ops 2 for like 2 or 4 games a week and when I have free time during the week I play games like Borderlands 2, super meat boy, and chivalry mideval warfare with my real life friends.

I probably logged about 160 days on counter strike and cod4 over those years, but I got pretty damn good. I was one of the top 10 NA cod4 snipers/smgs for a while. I was never as good at counter strike, my deagle was as good as a cevo-p players though.

In order of my favorite cods I’d have to say cod4 (first cod), mw2 (first game I pub starred on), black ops 2 (so easy to do well), world at war (mp40 juggy), black ops(not fun, too slow paced), mw3 (sucked, I could get like 1 MOAB per 5 games if I tried though, so it was fun in that aspect)

I love hopping into pubs and getting called a cheater xD

@szimmy666: how did into the tournaments, did you have to trial or something. I was in top 10 sniping clans in mw2 and mw3 but not as good as my other friends though. We were ranked in Tpsn.

There were designated websites and forums specifically for tournaments. You just had to sign up
There was also an irc channel where you could find a scrim or a team.
To not dive into it too much, promod is 5v5 search and destroy. Each team gets 2 smgs 2 assaults and 1 scope. The scope can only use a bolt action, you cannot use stuns, and perks are disabled (but everyone starts with bandelir). It’s hard to explain but if you look up some footage of it on YouTube it makes more sense

Wouldnt have expected so much CoD on CC…

Starcraft baby
