If we got enough folks, we could divvy the schools and then have a full document to reference. We could share privately if that suits people better. Possibly follow a standard template such as -
Name of program
Application - common app or a different app
Application essay (or written portion in common app) and/or personal statement
App date and fee and deadline
Prescreen - yes or no and deadline and material requirements for PS
How to select audition date
Audition locations and fee and material requirements for audition
When and how to send transcript and test scores
School code for SAT and ACT
Details regarding letter(s) of rec
Also, from the above info, maybe we could create a list that specifies requirements per PRESCREEN and per AUDITION; such as -
Prescreen schools that require 1 32 bar cuts, contemporary
Audition schools that require a Shakespeare mono
Just a thought. Even with good resources, combing through all of this current info is a total time-sucker. Thought we could spread the CC love around a bit and get it done stat!
Thoughts??
I used it a couple of years for college dance auditions. Yes, its useful to be able to go to one place and find all of the college auditions. Definitely helpful for a starting point just to see what auditions are out there. It’s especially useful if you are traveling to a particular state for a first choice audition and then looking to do another audition since you are already in town.
There’s some basic info for each college: test scores, tuition, etc. But really the focus is to be able to get the dates and locations of auditions.
From what I recall, college auditions are announced all the way through mid-December and so keep checking the website for newly added auditions. Good luck everyone!
