88 avg of 3.3 gpa from very competetive LI NY private school. No idea about weighting
17th percentile rank
1310 SAT 670 math 640 verbal
620 writing</p>
<p>Good recs etc</p>
<p>Involved in extras but only about 4 clubs/activities so nothing out of the ordinary</p>
<p>If I have any chance should I go there and try and meet with them. Should I call to express my interest.</p>

<p>Well, your chances are not too good to be honest. That is not to say you do not have a chance, because you do. The 3.3 gpa will not bode will for you, however.
As far as expressing your interest... I don't know if that will really help. Writing a note in the additional section might help out but calling will most likely not have any considerable impact. When you find out who your admission councelor is, you might want to email him/her.</p>
