Any chance for another brown kid wanted to do medicine?

ehh, imma be truthful. These programs already have too many upper-middle class brown kids haha. I'm one of em, and in the program i'm goin' to next year, we've got roughly 40% brown, 30% oriental, 30% caucasian. That's ridiculous, and so, you need to be ridiculous to get into these programs. They're gonna pounce on that gpa, look for any chinks in the armor, so just be prepared if you get an interview to explain it.

thanks pipinghottofu, if you don't mind me asking which program will you be attending next year? and could you post your stats or pm them to me

thanks

could you also pm them to me
thanks a bunch dude

hey if any of you guys wanna talk my sn is golferboy925

likewise...mine is MONEYINDABANK05

haha no need for me to pm.

3.85 uw gpa (top 10%)
750 M 800 R 680 W
690 chem, 760 mii, 740 bio m
6 AP's by end of senior year
shadowing doctor, 150 hrs volunteering at hospital, 200 hrs employee at hospital, 150 hrs volunteering for local cultural association, 6 yrs of dance, lots of clubs

oh btw, i'm in tcnj's 7 year program with nj med school...and actually 12 outta the 22 ppl there are brown. so it's pretty crazy. You've def got a chance, yer sats are better than mine but that gpa and that one ap score will hurt, so if you do get an interview...make sure you know what yer gonna say and be prepared. Some of the programs you've listed are tough....out of those you listed i applied to:
USC Bacc/MD
HPME
Penn State BA/MD
BU

...out of those i only got an interview to psu, which i got into.

wow pipinghottofu you look good but that 690 chem sat 2 id expect is what kept you out of those other progs you applied too
