I know I really havnt done much and I REALLY slacked off my first two years of highschool. My Junior year GPA is a 4.0 or close to it and I really went all out on the SATs. Do I have any chance whatsoever of getting into an Ivy League school if my essays and recommendations are amazing?

top 50 out of what?

Do you have a chance, yep! But you need to try to get a little more competitive -_-

You better be able to write a truly kick-ass essay (though this is true for all applicants), and I really doubt your GPA gets that much better senior year.

I'd put your chances at around 15%, at best.

"top 50 out of what?"

Somewhere around 500-550.

BTW, thanks for the responses.

With your rank I'd say you had a decent shot/slight reach at some of the less selective ivies, and fairly big reach at the most selective (HYP) since you're around the bottom of the top 10%. They're just conjectures, though. Great SATs.
