I currently go to another university and at the end of my first year i'll for sure have a 4.0 or a 3.9 GPA at the least. Plenty of extra-curriculars and about 33 hours. Only thing holding me back is my high school record. 1030/1600 SAT, 3.2/4.0 GPA, and top 34%. Haven't taken any SAT 2 subject tests or AP classes in high school. Altough high school record is bad, college record is really great. Let me know if yall think I got a chance to transfer into Columbia. Thanks yall! Extra curriculars include. Manager of a store, manager of computer resources, high school basketball, track and cross country, MSA, head counselor for a camp in '05 and '06, VP of a youth club. Is it worth applying or do I have no chance at all?

so you're talking about admissions for transfer applicant to columbia in a cornell thread without telling us what university you currently attend and is showing us all your high school ec.

sweet, you're in!

I go to University of Houston and yeah, my bad about the columbia thing. i was thinking columbia or cornell. Do I have a shot at all?

you have a chance if you can gear your essays toward a specific program that Houston doesn't have, you would need a "valid" reason to transfer. such as a cool major that they don't have and that you want to pursue.
