I was accepted into several colleges including Bates, Middlebury, and Northeastern and since then I have had to drop a “dual-enrollment” class I am taking at a local college. My high school was not happy about this at all, although I never thought that it was tooo big of a deal. Since my high school will now have to resend my transcripts to these colleges stating that I dropped this class, is there any chance that they will rescind their offers? From what I’ve read this is very rare and only in extreme cases, so maybe I am just being paranoid. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t want all of my hard work to be nullified by this.
Let me know what you guys think!
Why did you have to drop the class? How will it impact your ability to graduate? You are going to need to send an explanation to the college about the reason for the drop. It is your responsibility to notify your admitted schools, not your H.S. even though they are the ones to send the transcript. What did your GG tell you?
Get out in front of it. Contact admissions at each of the colleges, let them know you dropped the class, and ask if it will impact your admissions decision. If they say you are fine get it in writing (or an email). You want to get the answer before you accept an offer.
