Hey guys, I’m sure there are a ton of threads before this so I’m sorry but I really couldn’t find the exact situation. I know that the best thing to do is call admissions however I don’t want to raise any red flags that I don’t really have to.
I will be attending Emory next year however I currently have a D in a dual enrollment with a nearby college for my Calculus 2 class.
This will not be on my high school transcript rather it is on a separate college transcript.
Do you think I will have to send in this transcript in? I didn’t send in my spring semester transcripts during college admissions (since they never requested it). I know colleges say “turn all transcripts in” but do colleges really care aside from high school transcripts?
Also If they do ask for it what do you think are the chances I’ll get rescinded once they see it?
I currently have 2 B’s and 2 A’s in my other classes and my GPA is around a 3.7 UW.
Thank you for your time!
Yes you will have to send college transcripts. Yes they do care. And they want to know if there are any academic or other disciplinary actions on those transcripts. You can be expelled for not providing this–withholding info is equivalent to a fraudulent application. In college, everything counts, remember that going forward.
Did your admission offer have any conditions of maintaining a certain gpa or not getting below a D? If you are still in compliance with the offer you should be okay. But it is best to keep them informed in the interest of transparency. If you can’t pull off a C you will have to let them know, sooner then them finding out by themselves is the best policy. Make what explanation you can.
Call the college. They will notice the D and it’s better if you get in front of it.

@BrownParent
Should i call them or email my admission officer in my region? I live in west coast so their office is closed by the time i end school and they’re closed on the weekend.
Thank you for your help and advice
@“Erin’s Dad” I sent
I sent my regional admissions officer an email. (I hope that was an okay thing to do) I hope to hear back from her by this upcoming week and if I don’t get response I’m planning on calling them. Do you think that is a good plan?
That’s fine. If you don’t hear back by Wednesday then call.
You should also stop by your high school college counselor’s office and let them know what is going on.
Alrigt guys ill be calling them tomorrow morning and see what their response is! Hopefully they dont mind
Update-
Well called them up and they told me its a case by case basis and couldnt give me an exact answers but it sounded like as long as my other grades were on par with the past I should be safe.
The advisor said it was really uncommon for them to rescind people so I think im safe!
