Any clue when Cornell's grades will be out?

Hey guys, do you have any clue when the grades will be out for Spring 2007? Will it pop up earlier than June 4th?

Probably, but the official date is June 4th. They are usually early, at least they were over winter break.

This upcoming Friday for seniors.

I think May 25 is the best bet!

3.98 for the semester. Good I guess.

Good luck to all of the other seniors graduating this weekend! It's been a roller coaster of a 4 years. 0.7 difference b/w my best and worst semester GPA's. Relationships made and broken. Fun times at parties. Sketchy times as well.

It's interesting to reflect on how much I've matured since my HS days and even since freshman year. I guess I'm an adult now :'( Now I just need to clear the 60 beer bottles sitting in my living room before my parents show up tonight...

How did you find out exactly? I don't see it on JTF

I think only the seniors get their grades today.

Norcal, ru heading to med school next yr?

congrats on the graduation...

Nope. I will be completing a 1-year NIH fellowship before heading off to med school. So I will be applying this year and matriculating in 2008.

norcalguy, are you doing this to improve your grade? rumors have it med schools only look at the grades you achieved at your LAST degree. So a lot of cornell students with sub 3 GPAs(engineering especially) would get a masters at Cornell, get a 4.0, and then apply to med school.

This seems like a loophole to me that needs to be fixed.

I don't think the fellowship has anything to do with grades, well sort of. If you apply a year later, the medical schools can see your senior year grades instead of everything up to junior year, so it is sort of a way to increase your GPA. The fellowship is just one year of research.

Also I don't really think it's a loophole because for med school GPA isn't everything, and they do look for life experiences, so I guess in some instances, getting a Masters is a life experience. The Cornell Med dean said they don't look at the grades from graduate school.

A fellowship isn't a degree granting program he won't be getting any grades, it's more like a job

Grades won't be up until at least Wednesday, because my ILRIC339 TA told me he's handing them in this Tuesday.

No, there are no classes or grades involved. It is simply a chance for me to explore my research interests full-time.

The second part about med schools is untrue. Med schools value your undergrad grades far more than your graduate grades.
