I thought the corporation-sponsored NM scholarships were due about now. My son is eligible for one. Anyone been notified yet? March is truly the cruelest month...

Thanks,
RA

Thanks,
RA

My son is also waiting to hear from NM about an award. It is a tough month!
hang in there.

i just received news that i was a recipient a few days ago. however, surprisingly, it said that as of now i was only to receive the minimum amount ($1000/yr) and if i wanted to receive the maximum amount i had to fill out some financial profile online (i think the CSS but im not quite sure.)
is this normal because i thought that NM was based on merit and achievement and not on financial need

Guitars,
Thanks, that made me feel better.

Brownie,
Thanks, that made me feel worse.

For my corporate sponsor (Lockheed Martin), it is a fixed $3000 / year with no need basis. However, at this point that is unfortunately only a THEORETICAL amount since we have not received any notification.

Thanks,
RA

R. Aster, My husband's company also gives an award, however 2 of my daughter's classmates (whose father's also work there) were NMF's with higher scores than hers. We assume no go for her as well : (
Oh, well, it was worth a try.

Interesting! We all should be notified soon one way or another I would think

Well, a very pleasant man at NMSC just returned my call. He indicated that, at least for my sponsor, the letters have not yet been sent, so we are still in the running.

Thanks to all for your information.

RA

anyone know if submitting the CSS will make a difference?
