Have all the corporate sponsorship letters been sent out already?

and, how many NM finalists every year that end up with absolutely nothing $$ wise?

Thanks! :)

The corporate sponsorship letters were the first ones to be sent. I am pretty sure that they were all done at least a month ago. If you were expecting one because of some familial relationship, did you send in the paperwork identifying your first choice school. Without that I was told they would not send you the award notification. You should just call them. They were very nice on the phone.

There was an article in yesterday’s paper that said out of 15,000 finalists, 8200 win scholarships, and another 1500 who are not finalists win special scholarships. Some schools my kids have looked at award scholarships to NM finalists that are not specifically NM scholarships, so those types would not be included in the official NM numbers, I think. My D got a corporate scholarship from H’s employer last year, and she was not even commended. The company has x number of scholarships to award every year, so several employees’ kids get lucky. Now if he gets cut in the next round of layoffs, I wonder if that scholarship dissolves.
